Are you over 70, 75 or even over 80 and searching for a good deal on car hire and trying to avoid senior driving fees that some suppliers often impose?
Car rental suppliers will have age limits, example for most they only rent out a vehicle if the driver is over 21 and has held a licence for one or two years. When it comes to senior drivers, some supplier will also impose an upper age limit, example age 75. These suppliers will in most cases still rent to drivers over 25, but they may impose a senior driving fee. A senior driving fee is simply an additional daily amount. Some claim the extra charges are this is to cover additional risk, but it is an easy way to make more money of older drivers.
The good news is that fewer companies are being restrictive and many will rent to anyone up to age 99 and many will not impose a senior driving fee.
